A bit later than announced - just to let you forget about English at this beautiful time of year :)

Opinion. Your job this time is to pick any 2 topics from 4A exercise 6 (speaking) and write your opinion (agree/disagree). Don't forget to give your arguments and examples. Deadline: May 17th. Word limit: 150-200 for the whole thing. Post your opinion as a comment and sign. Enjoy it.

I agree with the statement,that all schools should let children wear whatever they want at school. I think,that uniforms can harm child’s mind. If somebody let you wear what he want, it’s a little bit crazy anh unhealthy. My first point is that everyone must express himself through his appearance. It’s very important for young people, who want to look as soon as it’s possible. Secondly, one year ago Ministry of Education interposed uniforms at every primary and secondary school. Head masters with parents could choose the best outfit for pupils. Students were discontended of them….Often they were made of material,which fast got damaged. Finally I agree with this sentence at all.
Second statement,whaich I’ve chosen is: Boys study better in a mixed class. I agree with that. First of all boys need girls for everything..at school of course,but outside too. Girls are usually more polite than boys,so they influence favourably on boys. Girls often want to study very well and compete for grades.Boys sometimes behave worse,but in a mixed class a balance is maintenanced.In a mixed class are benefits for boys as well as girls.
Finally I think,that Ministry of Education should remember about childern’ feelings,when invents new drawers.

I agree with statement that physical education should be optional. Why? It’s just because every person is different. Someone wants to go swimming on physical education, another people want for instance go on aerobics. In my view if this subject is optional, people will be more willing to do different exercises. Every student can do what he wants the most. In effect all pupils will develop their abilities in different fields. I think also that school summer holidays should be shorter. I am always bored at the end of August, though I am very active. I always want to come back to school. Holidays should start for example in July, not in June. Instead we can have more free time in each terms, for example in October or March. In my opinion it is good idea, because pupils would have more time to learn in school-year. Maybe many children won’t be happy but it can be good for them.

I think that everyone school is good for pupils but only if they want to learn. First of all private schools are not better than public schools. Parents who heven`t full of money can send their children to state school and this is quite normal. Secondly one thing is certain it doesn`t matter what kind of school it is teachers are the same. They want teach the best how they can. It is only story that students from private school learn less than student from state school. They must learn for their parents. Second topic which I chose it is:All school should let children wear whatever they want at school. I agree with that because everybody wants be individual and our clothes can show what kind of people we are. Head teacher can`t say what children can wear because they must learn to decide for theirselves. Finally I think that education in private school isn`t better than in state school and children should wear what they want because it develops imagination.

I agree that all schools should let children wear whatever they want at school. One of the main reasons why schools should do this is that everyone wants to have a small piece of freedom. I wear whatever I want and if someone says that I have to wear uniforms I will lose my piece of freedom. And I won’t be happy of this. I am what I wear. In addition to this, I don’t think that uniforms will be good for poor children because there is no normal people who jadge you on what clothes you wear. But there are some situations when I don’t understand some kind of people. They wear dirty clothes, shoes and sometimes they wear some kind of loutish scarfs on their faces. I don’t know, for me it’s sick. But when everyone wears the same clothes, you know, it’s boring. And teachers shouldn’t punish girls for wearing very short skirts.You know why :)

I agree entirely with statement, that all schools should let children wear whatever they want at school. When the Minister of Education introduced to school uniforms, everybody hated them. I know gay who burned all classes uniforms at the end of year. I think that "if someone doesn't want look like everybody, that this person will found on uniform that what she or he want". The idea of uniform was leaning for poor pupils. But I think that was crazy idea because uniform will not eliminate this kids problem. Besides we across dress express me.
I don't agree with the statement, that school summer holidays should be shorter. Who did invent something like this? In the moment of end of school we are free and so happy! By the two months we didn't do anything which connected with school. When August comes I feel, that I don't want go to school. I'm late resister and when I think that I will must get up early... It's so dejecting...! So do not it shorten us holidays, please.

I agree with sentence: All schools should let children wear whatever you want at school. Some of teenagers want to express themselves by appearance. It is a mirror of their character, it mean: tell me what you wear, I will tell you who you are. Some of young people belong to subculture, so their appearance stand out. So If you said: “You must wear a uniform” (boring clothes) it will the best way to lose touch with them. By the way sometimes the uniform are a problem for a poor families. In last year in Zduńska Wola parents had to pay lot of money for a bad qualitatively sweatshirt and hopeless t-shirt.

I think that physical education is necessary for our condition because we spend lot of time in sitting. But not everyone like this lessons. Not all of the people like volleyball or basketball. It should be optional. It is the best way to avoid bored and misunderstanding between the teacher and pupil. This lessons should be encourage to sport.

Private schools are usually better than state schools. I reckon it’s a subjective opinion, because not each kid ,by going to the private school, is better than child, who goes to boarding school. Children, who graduated from private school, has a prestige. Otherwise they have to pay for their learning and it’s not a success of guarantee. Usually in private schools there is better discipline and learning of responsibility, but it depends on a school. In some schools level of learning and discipline could be worse than in normal, government school. So, I don’t agree with this opinion, because private school degree won’t secure you the future.
According to statement about necessity of PE my opinion is also subjective. I think that PE must be in each school as an obligation. For example I treat PE as a great subject, which gives you necessary movement. I suppose that not everyone is able to practice a lot, but presence on PE lesson and active participation in them is perfect for each of us. I’m glad that in Poland PE is not an option, but as an obligation. So that’s my opinion in this case : PE shouldn’t be optional.

Physical education should be optional. I'm agree with this statement but not exactly.
I think PE should be optional only in high school. For example, if we want pass the
matriculate exam in history, we may choose two lesson history more instead of PE lesson.
I think this would be more useful.
First of all is that we are 17 and if we like sports we will be doing sports for ourselves
and we don't need PE lesson. Other case is in primary school. We are young and we may don't know
what we like and what don't. I think it's a big mistake if parents write discharge with PE lessons
for they kid. Maybe someone have ideal conditions, and talent for play voleyball?
In high school it's too late to looking for sport talents.
Secondly, most of studen't don't like PE, especially in high school, when we think
about completely other thing and often don't go to this activities. I'm not astonished, addictionaly most
of school don't have proper conditions.
Finally, children certainly need physical educations and it's important to they are go to this
activities but in high school PE should be optional.

I must agree that all school should let pupils wear everything what they want.First of all usually uniforms are uncomfortable and ugly. Young people like me want to feel good in their clothes and by them we have opportunity to show our individual style, we can demonstratewho we are. Another important point is that not everyone can afford to buy such a thing. On the other hand J must admit that in school some ruls shpuld de warned. Some people just don't respect and appreciate this facility and wear to school clothes which are unacceptable but it happen occasionally. So I still think that schools should let children to wear whatever they want at school.I don't agree with sentence: Physical Education should be optional.In nowadays most teenagers are doing some sports. But still some young people only sit at home infront of TV. So for them PE is the only time when they do something for their body,health. On the end I think that PE shouldn't be optional. I agree with the statment that schools should let children wear whatever they want at school. Firstly uniforms are very uncomfortable and usually very ugly. Everyone should wear what him it pleases. Clothes are part of us. Our clothes are our individual matter. Secondly uniforms are usually expensive and in addition they are very weak quality. Many poor families can’t afford to buy new uniforms for kids.
I disagree with the statement that physical education should be optional. For me physical education is one of the best subject in school. Our body need movement. Everyone should exercise regularly. This will be healthy for us and our organism. Nowadays , particularly in USA, young people have problem with overweight. They spend a lot of time before computer and television. Physical education lessons are opportunity to lose a bit needless kilogramme. I think that physical education should be obligatory.

I don't agree that holidays will be shorter than now. If someone do it, will be no more real holidays. Real holidays must be long. It's tradition. It's time to rest from school, teachers and other tiring things. I and other people need it to travel, fun a lot and meet new persons. Holidays are for relax, to renegate ours strenght, to next year of hard work. If someone do really bad thing, it won't be more holidays because they died. And when die holidays spirit, die our spirit. So, now talk about wearing. Someone said that people can wear whatever they want. That's true because, uniforms are uncomfortable and look ugly. I don't feel free at all when I wear uniform. It's really bad idea that I must wear uniform.
