The upside is that when you are a famous person you have respect and you gain knowledge of "influencers". Thanks to this, you have a better chance of using various types of services and privileges.
Another plus is that you can earn a lot, not only from your business. For example, people who want to sell something will want to take you to advertise a given product in order to have more income from the product.
The downside is that you are under surveillance all the time, be it people or paparazzi. All you have to do is do something wrong and your career can be determined and the whole world can turn against you.
Another downside is that it can be exhausting, your whole life will be in control. It is possible that you will not be able to go even to the store without meeting a group of fans who will not give you peace.

Firstly, fame and popularity are something that usually brings big profit. Most famous people are rich. They have big homes, luxury cars and designer clothes. They can travel a lot and go on holiday a few times a year. These are things that not every ordinary person can have.
On the other hand, being popular comes with a lack of privacy. People forget that famous people also need privacy. Constantly taking pictures, observing, talking can be annoying. Furthermore, except people, there are journalists and paparazzi everywhere.
The second advantage are fans. Being famous, there will always be people who like what you do and who like you. Fans usually are very supportive of their idols. It's very nice for celebrities.

The first advantage is that you earn a lot of money and also you can get many things for free.
So famous people do not have to worry about the future because they will have enough money for whole life. Another plus of being famous is that you can build your own community like many youtubers does. There can be build diffrent type of community such as facebook group on which for example fans of some famous person can make memes with this celebrity and with the environment associated with her. Building your own community is so much fun and satisfying.
But being famous is not that perfect as it looks. Here is some disadvantages.
Famous people often get recognized and can not eat dinner in restaurant in peace or even walk on the street because everyone wants to do a picture or gets an autograph. So basically you do not have any privacy. Furthermore there are so many of haters especially in web because there are anonymous. Some celebrity just can't stand overwhelming pressure and they commit suicide.
All in all, being famous is good but you have to be ready for no privacy and hate pouring out on you.
