I chose poster A which presents I think a group of friends whose are riding their bikes. The poster says to us that we must fight with air pollution, stop driving cars and start moving around by bikes. I think it is easy, healthy, and sometimes the quickest way which additionally helps removing toxic air from the city. I reject the other posters because poster A presents the way we could campaign against smog. Picture B and C are calling to reduce air pollution, but they don’t show how to seek clear air, so in my opinion they are less effective.
1. Whose responsibility is it to reduce pollution? Why do you think so?
I think it’s our responsibility to fight and finally reduce pollution. I consider that everyone should start with oneself no matter how other people behave. In think so, because even small situations and habits like going to work by bike can help reduce smog.
2. What are the advantages and disadvantages of pedestrianized town and city centres?
In my opinion there are definitely more advantages than disadvantages like the centre of the city is safe and cosy. But in smaller towns it might be problematic to access some places.

I have chosen poster C because I really like how it looks. In the middle there is a circle, probably the Earth. It’s divided into some sections and on every one of them we can see trees, buildings or people. Below the image we can see a sentence that says ‘’Go Green!’’ and around it there’s another one saying ‘’Change your lifestyle to reduce the air pollution in our city!’’. The background is white but the rest of the poster is in colour green. I have chosen this picture because it appeals to me more than poster A or poster B. It might seem to be simple, but in my opinion it has a deep meaning and shows that we can be happier if we change our lifestyle. Poster A is also nice, but I don’t think that I would notice it, it’s too ordinary. Picture B isn’t too colourful so I wouldn’t pay attention to it as well.

1. Everyone is responsible for the environment. We all should help by trying to reduce pollution, because we all live on the same planet and use it’s goods, so that’s why we must take good care of it.

2. The main advantage of pedestrianized town and city centres is that walking causes no damage to the environment. It’s also a great exercise for us. Plus, we don’t need to worry about traffic.
However, a disadvantage of pedestrianized town and city centres is that it takes longer to get to a destination we want to get to. Another disadvantage is that there is a lot more people on the streets and pavements than normally.

i chose photo C because it appeals to me the most.
People have to do a lot and change some of their habits to reduce pollution in my city. One or two things is not enough. The third picture suggests changing our lifestyle to reduce the air pollution. It means that we ought to for example plant more trees and forests, take electricity from natural sources like wind or sun. it also says that we should build more blocks and less houses. it’s also better to go on foot or ride a bike instead of using cars. In my opinion this photo shows the most important and helpful issues about reducing toxic air.
I reject poster A because the idea of getting on our bikes is not enough to save our city. however it is one of the ways to reduce pollution. i think that for some people using a bike as their main mean of transport can be difficult as they have places of work far away from their houses.
I also reject poster B because i’m concerned that masks don’t protect us in 100%. maybe it’s a good idea but only for people who live in big cities where level of pollution is really high. I personally don’t imagine wearing a mask in my city outside for all the time.
QUESTIONS
1. i think it’s responsibility of every human living in our country. we can and even have to do as much as possible to reduce pollution. in our local area, in Poland an in the whole world. in my opinion it’s not possible for human to make a big change but if everyone her involved we can really make air cleaner.
2. the main advantage are cleaner air, less car accidents, no traffics and people would be forced to more move. the mains disadvantages are that disabled would have difficulties in getting to all the places. it also would be hard to carry bags with bigger shopping.

I choose poster A because in my opinion it will be the most effective at reducing pollution in my city. In cities, smog is most polluted by cars, so if people started to ride bikes, the smog would decrease significantly. Additionally, people riding bikes led to a much healthier lifestyle. I rejected the other posters - B and C because although they talk about fighting air pollution and changing our lifestyle, they don't show how we are supposed to do it.

1. In my opinion, everyone is responsible for the environment and should fight pollution. Everyone should contribute at least a little to reducing pollution. There are a lot of people in the world, so if people all over the planet started fighting pollution, it would be much smaller.

2. Certainly the advantage is that it will reduce the pollution as walking does not pollute the air. Additionally, it can encourage people to move. However, the disadvantage may be getting to some places, which can be quite a problem.

I think poster B is the best and I chose them. I think it, because he shows what the world can be like, if he doesn't show how it looks like now. This poster isn’t colorful, but is dark and shows reality, maybe when people will see it, they will want to change their lifestyle. In my opinion poster A isn’t bad, but I didn’t choose it, because driving a bike rather than a car, don’t make the world beautiful and without air pollution. Obviously this change helps the environment and, but it’s not enough. I think everyone knows it. In my opinion C is pretty and has a nice catchy title. Also he has a good message, because lifestyle changes really can reduce air pollution. Obviously if most people would do it. But I don’t choose this poster, because he is just pretty and he only says that we should change our lifestyle, and I don’t think it’s convincing.
1. Whose responsibility is it to reduce pollution? Why do you think so?
I think it’s our responsibility, because one person didn’t build the whole world (I mean cities, streets, buildings e.t.c.), so one person didn't destroy all air pollution. So everyone should start changing their lifestyle and shouldn’t look at others. And in time air pollution will cut down.
2. What are the advantages and disadvantages of pedestrianized town and city centres?
Advantages are obviously cleaner air and more activity in people. But disadvantages are difficulties accessing some places and carrying shopping.

I chased poster A, which present friends riding their bikes. That poster includes nice catchphrase. “Get on your bike and save our city!”.
This poster is simple and present normal life. Normal peoples helping with air pollution, in the simple way. Everyone can do this, so everyone can help.
It is also colourful to attract attention, so more peoples will see that.
The poster A show us how to fight with that, in contrast to the another posters.
I reject poster B, this poster look like sad moment. It also looks a package of cigarettes, so this depressing.
Poster C, it is also pretty cool. It is green like an earth, but it doesn't present way to eliminate air pollution.

1. Everyone has a responsibility to reduce pollution. Why? Because, earth is our home. We have to look after our home. We have to do as much as possible to help earth.

2. There are a lot of advantages of pedestrianized city centres. For the example a Piotrkowska in Lodz. This is a perfect place to hang out with friends or for the walk.

POSTER A

Poster A is my choice. The picture shows a lot of positive emotions, which in my opinion are going to encourage people and show that caring about the environment can be fun. The photo also cooperates very well with the slogan; thus, it is a big plus for the message it gives off.

POSTER B

In my opinion the poster is very negative. The first information we see is “smog kills” which is not inspiring or motivating. “Fight the air pollution” is in smaller font and is a second thing we latch our eyes onto. I do not think it was a smart choice. From my point of view changing the order of the slogans would do the picture a world of good.

POSTER C

I am a fan of minimalism, but in this case, I think it is just too little. Icons are very small, and the arched font makes the text hard to read so the message is not going to be clear.

Whose responsibility is it to reduce pollution? Why do you think so?

I think reducing pollution is everyone's responsibility. We all live on the same planet so we should all care about it. We should not search for excuses and start reducing pollution now, since we do not have an endless amount of time.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of pedestrianized town and city centers?

The advantage of pedestrianized town and city centers is a reduced number of cars on the streets. Reducing cars means reducing pollution and road accidents. The disadvantage is impracticality of these type of streets for disabled and elderly people. Pedestrianization also reduces the access to the city center for anyone other than pedestrians and cyclists.

For me poster A pictures is one of the best and easiest ways to do good for us from all of the other posters. Riding a bike is way faster than walking and helps to keep us fit without too much effort, so people would definitely be more likely to be interested in that one poster. Bikes are a good and fast way to get anywhere you want without having to walk all the way by feet. Riding a bike itself is really healthy and good for our bodies. Unfortunately, not everyone is able to affort one for themselfs, so making bikes a free and easily available thing would really help. People could just hire a bike for a specific amount of time to get where they want and then give it back when their things are done. Making more bike lanes would also very helpful. If people will use the new free bike-hire system, they need a space they can ride bikes on. More bike lanes would make it much easier to ride safely and would help to avoid unwanted accidents caused by lack of space to ride on. Poeple walking on regular footpath wouldn’t need to worry about a bike appearing in front of them unexpectedly.

I choose the poster B because in my opinion people should see the worst truth to get scared. The poster B is dark and sad. Maybe if they realize that air pollution is a serious problem they will start doing something. I didn't choose poster A or C beacuse poster B has a better message than the others. Obviously poster A and poster C are more happy and colorfull than poster B but I think people will start doing something if they are made aware of the real problem. Usually, most people intend to prevent something only when the problem affects them. People are selfish, they only think about themselves here and now and we should think about everyone. More and more people are aware of the existing threat, but there are still many people who ignore it. If the posters are happy, no one will pay attention to them and most will think that everything is fine.
1. Whose responsibility is it to reduce pollution? Why do you think so?
I think everyone is affected by the problem. I think we live in a world where each of us contributes to air pollution during our daily activities.
2. What are the advantages and disadvanteges of pedestrianized town and city centres?
In my opinion, the main advantage is that people would have to walk on their feet, so the air would be less polluted to some degree. There would be more places to hang out with friends. Obviously there are also disadvantages. For example, it would be difficult to get there by car, but it could be reached by bike, scooter, etc. So in my opinion it is not a great problem but it is known that for some it would be a difficulty.

I chose poster C. This poster caught my attention. In the middle I think this is Earth and she seems like a very clean and good place for people. There are a lot of trees and everything is green and people seem happy here. Above this Earth we can see a slogan which says “Go Green!” which means to me, for example, to plant a lot of greenery. Around this Earth is a sentence “Change your lifestyle to reduce the air pollution in our city!”, we must change our lifestyle, because one activity isn’t enough. For me this poster is encouraging to activity.

I rejected poster A, because riding a bike isn’t enough. Of course, we should do this, but this doesn't reduce air pollution. This poster looks good, but it doesn't get my attention.

I rejected poster B, because for me this poster isn’t encouraging. He is dark and brings negative emotions. He just says that smog kills and nothing else. He doesn't tell us how we can stop smog and air pollution.

1. Whose responsibility is it to reduce pollution? Why do you think so?
I think this is our responsibility, every human. We all live in this world and we must care about our Earth and air pollution. If we want to fight the air pollution we must act fast and change our lifestyle and things will be good.

2. What are the advantages and disadvantages of pedestrianized town and city centres?
The advantages are: more clean air and less fumes. This is good for convincing people to ride on a bike. The disadvantages are: the time to the destination will be longer for vehicular traffic. Also access to the destination will be constricted.

I chose poster B because he is showing us one of the darkest side of our world. He shows us, how our life will look like, If we don't care of the environment. The poster presents young woman with mask on her face, who is holding a phone with a notification of smog alert. In photo, we can also see a subtitle with a headline "Smog kills", and I am agree with this sentence. I am not entirely reject other posters because I think that two others ideas are very important to our environment, but smog is killing a lot of people and it is very important to fight with that because healthy and fresh air is our "safety".

1. Whose responsibility is it to reduce pollution? Why do you think so?
In my opinion reduce pollution is responsibility of every people. I think that governments needs to increase penalties to for example: throwing out a garbage to forests or burning a plastic or a tires. I think that this is very important thing to fight with polluce, because government have the highest authority, right?

2. What are the advantages and disadvantages of pedestrianized town and city centres?
Main advantages for pedestrianized is that the safety of pedestrian is much more higher than If there weren't any sidewalks. I don't see any disadvantages for pedestrianized town and city centres but it is only my opinion

I Chose the poster B because in my opinion when people are scared of something they are more careful. If you say that people have to do sport, they won’t take it seriously. But if you say that if they won’t fight with the air pollution they’re going to die, it will have a better effect. I reject the poster A and C because they aren’t too scary and thought-provoking for people. Too many people are not going to take it seriously. If you want to draw the attention of viewers you have to use more scary materials.
1. We are living on one planet, so everybody is responsible for reducing pollution.
2. The advantage of pedestrianizing city centres is the positive impact of walking, because of it we are not producing pollution for environment so it’s healthy for all of us. But disadvantage is for example that there are more traffic car jams. Because of pedestrianizing, a lot of streets are closed for them because of the walking people so people with cars are going to have a lot of problems with commuting while in the city centre.

1. I think the best poster is poster A. In my opinion riding bikes would really help. It might reduce smog and also people might be more active and fit. Cycling it’s very healthy ad helpful itself. That is a great way of transport too!!! Poster A is the best idea for me, because it’s also very easy to accomplish. I would reject posters B and C because they aren’t so particular. They say that we should reduce pollution, but they don’t say how.
2. Questions
- In my opinion everybody needs to think about pollution. We all want to breath fresh air so we should all try to reduce smog. I think that people who rule in the city, like president, should also help and encourage people to ride more bikes or use public transport.
- I think the biggest advantages is that people would have more place to walk and cycle safely. They would also get a chance to admire city in a better way. Sadly there are disadvantages too. I think the hardest part of it is that people would have problem in getting to some places and could not use cars.
